A way to remember: Memorial honors city firefighters killed on duty

The Buffalo Fire Department’s motto is ‘’Ut Vivant Alli’’ – So Others May Live.’’
Lydon, an architect, said the memorial was a labor of love. He said it was an opportunity for him to give back to the department since he’s retired. It cost $2,500, and everything was donated, he said
Love is what makes us human beings. Love makes the world go around,’’ he said. ‘’Love drove this design.
Family members were impressed with the memorial.
